Mount Vernon residents will have the opportunity next month to vote on improving their school district.
Voters will decide on March 15 whether to approve a $108 million bond.
Improvements would include new flooring in gyms and replacement of worn-out handrails, stairs and lockers.
The district says taxpayers won't see an increase until the 2017-18 school year. The average will then be about $7.50 a month with a small increase over time.
