Mount Kisco police are on the hunt for suspects wanted for breaking into several businesses.
The manager of El Universal Latin Bodega says the store was targeted in the middle of the night last month by thieves. Surveillance cameras captured the masked men during the break-in.
The manager says the suspects used a hammer to shatter the glass door. Once inside, he says they went right after an ATM and took it out of the store.
Police say that five days later, a man robbed El Tesoro Deli on Maple Avenue by using a shovel to break the front glass. They say he made off with lottery tickets and about $300 in cash.
Authorities say the break-ins may be connected because both locations had either inadequate or no alarms.
Police have a suspect in custody, though they have yet to tie him directly to the burglaries. They say the suspect in custody allegedly robbed a multifamily home on Stewart Street.
