The proposal would add kindergarten through grade 4 to the Amani Public Charter School. The school presently has grades 5-8.

9ds agoA Mount Vernon School charter school has submitted an application to the Department of Education to add more grade levels.
The proposal would add kindergarten through grade 4 to the Amani Public Charter School. The school presently has grades 5-8.
Mount Vernon School District has received the application from the state and is conducting a hearing, as is required.
The hearing will take place on Feb. 13 at the Education Center on Columbus Avenue.
