According to police, 41-year-old Jomo Errol Belfor, who was coaching in the game, became angry about one of the referee's calls and assaulted him.

A Mount Vernon firefighter is facing assault charges in Pennsylvania after allegedly attacking a referee at a basketball game.

According to police, 41-year-old Jomo Errol Belfor, who was coaching in the game, became angry about one of the referee's calls and assaulted him.

The referee suffered facial injuries as a result of the altercation.

Belfor was arraigned last Thursday.
