Rockland Central School District in Sullivan County has announced its new mascot and school colors.

The district will now be known as the Wolves, with purple and black as its official colors.

School officials said the new mascot represents strength, pride and resilience.

The rebrand follows the recent merger of Livingston Manor and Roscoe central schools.

A new logo will be unveiled later this year.
