Motorcyclist seriously injured in Ossining crash; neighbors say intersection along Route 9A is dangerous

According to police, the motorcyclist was heading south on Route 9A when he collided with an SUV that was turning on to Stormytown Road.

Ossining police continue to investigate an accident that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to police, the motorcyclist was heading south on Route 9A when he collided with an SUV that was turning on to Stormytown Road.
Investigators say two onlookers, who happened to work in the medical field began performing CPR on the motorcyclist, who was rushed to the hospital. No one in the SUV was injured.
Motorcycle parts could be seen strewn across the roadway as police investigated.
Busy Route 9A had to be closed between Croton and Route 134 for hours while police worked the scene.
People in the area say the intersection is dangerous with heavy traffic speeding by, drivers must quickly try to make the turn to get across to Stormytown Road.
There's no word yet on what caused the collision.
