Police say a motorcyclist died Sunday after crashing near Bear Mountain Park in Cortlandt.
Officials say they received a call around 6 p.m. about a man on a motorcycle who went down an embankment off Bear Mountain Bridge Road.
It is believed the victim collided with a car, hit a retaining wall, flipped over and went down the 100-foot embankment.
The man was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
State officials are investigating the incident and won't comment until their investigation is done.
