More than 200 New York Guards are gearing up to start training in the Hudson Valley.
New members will undergo initial entry training while current members will participate in programs aimed at preparing the future leaders for upcoming operations.
The training will take place at the Camp Smith training site beginning Monday and running through next Sunday.
The 500-member organization assists the New York National Guard during state emergencies.
