More than 100 people were displaced after flames tore through an apartment complex in Peekskill on Monday.
The three-alarm fire broke out at around 6:30 p.m. at 141 Fremont St., located near Peekskill High School.
More than 60 firefighters responded to the scene. Six of them were taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.
No other injuries were reported.
The Red Cross and a local church are working to find shelter for the displaced residents.
There is no word on what sparked the fire.
