Major roads are closed in Westchester County due to flooding. It has caused significant travel delays all night.
Portions of the Taconic State Parkway and Bronx River Parkway were closed. Earlier in the evening, drivers told News 12 that the rain came down fast.

Some drivers said they saw cars submerged in water, while others said vehicles were left stranded on the parkways.

"There are about four or five cars that are stranded up there, on both sides," said Mike, who was traveling to Yorktown.

The closures caused significant backups in places like Mount Pleasant and Hawthorne.

"I'm waiting it out, but knowing how far I live and how long it takes to get there, it could be a while," said Queens resident Christopher Mars.

Emergency crews say more road closures are possible throughout the night, depending on conditions. They are urging people to be careful while traveling.
