More schools throughout Westchester and the Hudson Valley are either shutting down or planning to close due to coronavirus concerns.

More schools close to coronavirus concerns, others plan for distance learning
More schools throughout Westchester and the Hudson Valley are either shutting down or planning to close due to coronavirus concerns.
The Greenburgh Central and Croton-Harmon school districts are closed today.
The superintendent for Mamaroneck schools say that schools will close for two weeks after classes today.  They say the district’s remote learning program will being Wednesday, March 18.
The Monroe-Woodbury Central School District is closed today after a student had direct exposure to a person diagnosed with COVID-19. The Florida Union Free School District says it is closed Friday since a member of a household is under quarantine. Middletown City School District is closed today because a member of the health staff is under self-quarantine.
Eastchester schools have a regularly scheduled early dismissal day for students today.  They will be closed on Monday, March 16 through Wednesday, March 18. The district says they have no confirmed cases of COVID-19 among Eastchester students or staff.
Mount Vernon schools say they will have a half-day session on Monday, March 16 and Wednesday, March 18 to prepare for distance learning. They say the SATs scheduled for Saturday at the Mount Vernon High School have been rescheduled until March 28.
Pleasantville and Ossining schools are on a two-hour delay this morning so the districts can prepare in case there is a long-term closure.
The Clarkstown Central School District has closed schools today because a family member of a student at one of the schools has tested positive for the virus. The District Task Force will be meeting, and will coordinate with the Department of Health and other local and state officials to discuss next steps.
