Moderna gearing up to test vaccine on about 3,000 kids

Currently, there are no COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in children.

Moderna is gearing up to test its vaccine on about 3,000 kids and teens between the ages of 12 and 17.          
The study will work to determine the vaccine's efficacy and safety in children ages 6 months - to 11 years old.
Currently, there are no COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in children.
While COVID-19 affects kids dramatically less than older adults, it still has caused hundreds of of deaths and thousands of hospitalizations in children.
