(AP) - The presidential candidates are getting readyfor one final side-by-side comparison. The third presidential debate, at Hofstra University on NewYork's Long Island, is intended to focus on the economy anddomestic policy -- though voters heard a lot on those subjects atthe first two. John McCain and Barack Obama will be seated at a desk with themoderator, Bob Schieffer of CBS. Both candidates released proposals this week for how to boostthe economy. With polls favoring Obama in a growing number of states, thestakes in this last debate are higher for McCain. He unveiled apossible debate strategy yesterday: the argument that on theeconomy, he'll be different from President Bush and better thanObama.
