Police are searching for a suspect after an attempted robbery in Wallkill on Wednesday.

Police say a masked man approached a woman in the parking lot of Citizens Bank along Route 211. Police say the woman had just made a deposit just before the suspect forced her into her car and demanded cash.

The woman told the would-be robber that she had nothing to give, and the suspect fled the scene.

Wallkill police say the victim is recovering from a neck injury after being shoved into her car.
