A manhunt is underway for the person who stabbed a man and left him dead on the side of the road in Ossining.
Police say a jogger found the body in a wooded area along Route 133 near Travano Road at around 6:30 a.m. Monday. They say the man had no identification on him. An autopsy performed by the Westchester County Medical Examiner found several stab wounds to the body. Police tell News 12 that the victim did have defensive wounds that show signs of a struggle
Investigators are looking into whether the man was killed elsewhere and dumped on Route 133.
The victim's identity has not been released, but police say he appears to be a white man who was 40 to 60 years old. The man was wearing jeans, a shirt and sneakers, and police say evidence shows the body had been on the side of the road for some time.
"The grass was about 3 feet high on the side of the road so he could have [been] there for a while," says Ossining Police Chief Joseph Burton.
Toxicology tests are being done, but results could take several weeks.
