A Derby man is facing charges for allegedly selling drugs in the Norwalk area, police say.
Dion James was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation into narcotics distribution within the greater
Norwalk area.
The investigation began in January after police received a complaint about James selling narcotics from his gray Mazda SUV.
Police say James was taken into custody at Stamford Superior Court. Following his arrest, officers seized 1.31 grams of crack cocaine, 2.73 grams of cocaine and over $1,000 from James' vehicle.
James was charged with possession of a controlled substance and sale of narcotics, which is in connection with the drugs allegedly found in his vehicle.
He also faces five counts of possession of a controlled substance and five counts of sale of narcotics, which are related to five existing arrest warrants.
He is expected to appear in court April 24.
