State police are looking for a man who is suspected of trying to lure children at a diner in Pine Bush on Thursday.

Police say they were alerted from a post on social media that said that a man at Cup and Saucer Diner tried to lure kids into the bathroom by offering them money. The children’s grandmother caught the kids walking with him by the bathroom hallway and left the diner immediately. The post says the man followed the group to another location and continued to try and talk to the kids. After the grandparent told the cashier, the man left.

Crawford police say they have identified the suspect and passed the information over to New York State police, who are conducting the investigation.

They say they are confident that there is no risk to the public. However, they caution you to be aware of your surroundings and if you see something...say something.
