A manhunt was underway Wednesday for suspects in a Yonkers home invasion on a usually quiet street.
Police say two men might have been armed when they forced their way into an elderly woman?s Kingston Avenue home about 4:45 p.m. Authorities say a friend came to visit the woman while the home invasion was in progress, but no one was hurt. The suspects got away with several items and also robbed the visitor, according to authorities.
Officers armed with assault rifles, K-9 units and helicopters were out in full force looking for the men. Several checkpoints were also set up, but, so far, the robbers have eluded police.
