A manhunt for a suspected burglar in the Hudson Valley entered a second day Sunday.
The suspect is wanted in connection with an out-of-state burglary. He was able to outrun New Castle and Westchester County police, K-9 units and a helicopter in the New Castle area, after leading them on a high-speed pursuit on the Taconic State Parkway.
Sources say the high-speed chase ended near Camp Fire Road Saturday afternoon. Witnesses say they believe the suspect stopped his car right off the parkway, then possibly fled on foot.
Investigators say the man, who is described as white, 5 foot 8 inches tall and wearing a black T-shirt and camouflage shorts, was spotted elsewhere overnight, and is no longer in the New Castle area.
Police are urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to call state police or 911.
