The grant is one of five awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The grant will help address gaps in the field of sport studies to create stronger connections with the broader fields of Latino and American studies.
Manhattanville College has previously been recognized as a Hispanic-serving institution by the U.S. Department of Education.
