A piece of cooling equipment at Manhattanville College was disinfected today after it tested positive for the bacteria that causes Legionnaires' disease.
The "water chiller" at the campus in Purchase works with a building's heating and cooling systems.
College officials say the device was immediately shut down.
There are no reported cases of Legionnaires' at the school.
