A man accused of robbing a child in Orange County was given a prison sentence Tuesday in court.
Prosecutors said Jamar Murry-El was sentenced to 3½ to 7 years behind bars for taking $200 from a 10-year-old boy in Newburgh.
The robbery happened in Oct. 2024, and the money was supposed to be for a babysitter.
The 32-year-old was convicted on multiple charges, including child endangerment.
