A traffic stop in Putnam County led to multiple felony charges after deputies found drugs and weapons in a vehicle.

Deputies said they saw 42‑year‑old Jon Vena driving on Bryant Pond Road on Saturday without a seat belt and pulled him over at the intersection of Butterfly Lane. Deputies said they then saw multiple drugs and narcotics inside the vehicle.

A search uncovered fentanyl, Xanax, metal knuckles, a sawed‑off 20‑gauge shotgun and several imitation air pistols that had been spray‑painted black. Deputies also learned that Vena was driving with a revoked license.

He was arrested and faces drug and weapon charges. Vena was arraigned in the Town of Putnam Valley Court and later remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility without bail due to prior felony convictions.
