A man was sentenced in Orange County after being convicted in the fatal beating of a 3‑year‑old boy.

Gionni Sellers He received 25 years to life in prison for the death of Xavier Johnson four years ago.

Prosecutors said Sellers was dating the child’s mother at the time. They said he killed the boy while babysitting him in 2022.

Authorities said the toddler was abused for days, leaving him with fatal injuries.
