A man is recovering from injuries he sustained from shrapnel from a utility line.
Police say emergency officials were fixing burning wires along Birch Road in Lake Secor on Memorial Day.
At the same time, a man called the police because he heard a loud bang and felt pain from a wound on his left arm. He said he initially thought that he had been shot.
After some investigating, detectives found a piece of a blown utility fuse that caused the mystery wound.
Doctors were able to remove the shrapnel from the man's arm.
