Three good Samaritans are being hailed as heroes after they pulled a man from a burning car this morning.
State police say a driver from the Bronx was traveling southbound on the Sprain Brook Parkway just after 8 a.m. and spun out near the Tuckahoe Road exit due to the wet roads. The car got caught in between the guardrail and fence. It caught fire, and the driver was trapped inside.
Luckily, a young couple from the Bronx pulled over, jumped out, and managed to break the windows of the car.
Another car pulled over, and a third man joined the couple to pull the driver to safety. State police say the driver only suffered back and neck pain.
