A New Rochelle man charged in the shooting of a Yonkers police officer will not face additional reckless endangerment charges for an incident that took place two days prior to the shooting.
Jerry Reyes was charged with criminal possession of a weapon on Sept. 25 in Yonkers court in connection with the shooting of Yonkers Police Officer Kayla Maher.
Reyes was arrested in New Rochelle for a shooting at a home on Remington Place on Sept. 23 but will not face charges stemming from that incident.
Currently, it's unclear why authorities dropped the charges.
