Students at Mamaroneck High School held mock caucuses Monday as voters in Iowa participated in the real thing.
Students taking Mr. Liberti's government class broke up into groups to support the three Democratic candidates and tried to persuade undecided peers to join them.
The students also learned about the Republican caucus process, which is somewhat simpler. Participants choose their candidates with ballots.
And this weekend, 150 of Liberti's students will take a field trip to New Hampshire ahead of the nation's first primary vote.
