HB Millwork Inc. specializes in staircases, railings, and millwork. The family-run business has roots that go back to 1976. Craftsmanship and community were the foundation of the brothers' dream, and they passed that dream down to their children in 2018.

Timothy and Michael Hollowell are brothers and co-founders of HB Millwork Inc. Before opening a showroom in Medford and a manufacturing company in Yaphank, the journey began in a garage.

The two learned the craft hands-on, working side by side with their dad. “Our dad worked at the lumber yard next door. He got us interested in stairs and millwork. We eventually went out... and now, we’re retired,” said Michael Hollowell, co-founder of HB Millwork Inc. Now the second generation has taken over the family business.

"Tradition is key. Family is tradition—so it's important to us," said Amanda Pereira, co-owner. Timothy and Michael's children carry on the tradition with the same values and a vision for the future. "Having stuff made here is important because it's our history, and we're continuing it," Amanda added. Now, they hope to eventually pass the business and its legacy onto the third generation.
