Veteran state trooper killed in Taconic motorcycle crash

Greenwich gun suspect found and arrested in Westchester County
5h agoNew York State Police Sgt. Nigel Barnett, the station commander in Cortlandt, was killed in a motorcycle crash Tuesday morning on the Taconic Parkway. He was 49 years old.
State police say Barnett was traveling southbound on a 2025 Ducati motorcycle in the Town of Fishkill around 6:30 a.m.
They say he was ejected from the motorcycle after losing control and struck a guardrail.
Barnett was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 19-year veteran of the state police.
