Restaurant owners in the Village of Mamaroneck are
scrambling to fill their tables after losing outdoor dining.
The village officially ended sidewalk and parking lot
dining on Tuesday. Nearly 20 restaurant owners have since signed a petition asking the village to reconsider.
The fear among the restaurant owners is indoor dining at
half capacity and takeout service is not enough to get them through the winter.
Village Manager Jerry Barberio has not yet responded to
News 12’s request for a comment, but the Town of Mamaroneck Supervisor Nancy
Seligson says the restaurants in the town can continue outdoor dining.
