A bomb threat to Maple Hill Elementary School on County Road 78 prompted officials to lock down the school and place neighboring Monhagen Middle School in lockout mode Monday.
Police say students and staff are safe after a "computer-generated phone threat."
It's the 12th time this school year that such a threat disrupted classes. Officials say that because the schools are so close together, when one receives a threat and goes into lockdown, the other must secure its doors and lock out the potential danger.
The school says the day resumed as normal, but parents had the option to pick their children up from classes early.
