Westchester County Executive George Latimer confronted rumors that COVID-19 is spreading amongst dozens of inmates at the Westchester County Jail.
People have been calling News 12 saying they've heard that three inmates have died from the virus due to lack of cleanliness and poor medical care.
Latimer says none of that is true.
He says five employees and nine inmates currently have COVID-19, and he says all of them have been isolated.
Latimer said that someone said that 30 inmates were sick with the virus and that three have died, but that all of that information was wrong.
He says the inmates who are currently sick are being monitored and none have reached a point of needing hospitalization.
