After years of legal entanglements, a Kingston resident has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the 2020 murder of Romero Underwood.
The Ulster County District Attorney says Raymond Snyder, along with another man, assaulted Underwood by pistol-whipping him before shooting him.
The case took a dramatic turn when two prosecutors from Ulster County resigned in 2022 following numerous courtroom errors that led to Snyder's temporary release.
The DA's office then took legal action against Ulster County Court, resulting in the case being reassigned in 2023.
