A Wakefield family is getting the chance to replace some of what was lost in a fire.
The family's belongings were burned to ashes in Wednesday's inferno at 4523 Hill Ave.
Councilman Andy King and J.C. Penney teamed up to help four siblings, ages 5 to 18, get their school gear replaced. Each one of them will receive new undergarments, five outfits, shoes and a backpack, with no spending limit.
The family says it is overwhelmingly grateful for the shopping spree.
They are still trying to work out where they will live in the coming weeks following the blaze at their home, which now has to be gutted.
