While there will be some new faces on the Hudson Valley political scene going forward, incumbents won most of the races on Election Day yesterday.
Republican George Hoehmann got 56 percent of the vote in the race for town supervisor in Clarkstown. He unseated Democratic incumbent Alex Gromack who was first elected to the seat in 2004.
However in Ramapo, long-time Democratic incumbent Christopher St. Lawrence got 55 percent of the vote for town supervisor. He was challenged by Republican Michael Parietti who got 44 percent of the vote.
And Judith Kennedy keeps her seat as mayor of Newburgh with 48 percent of the vote. She beat Democrat Jonathan Jacobson and Republican John Giudice.
