The Hutchinson River Parkway is back open this Saturday after planned weekend work wrapped up ahead of schedule.
The highway was closed in both directions from Exit 6 to Exit 15 beginning Friday night. It was expected to remain closed until 6 p.m. Sunday, but it reopened Saturday shortly after noon.
The closure is for the construction of a temporary bridge that is expected to be built over the parkway at East Lincoln Avenue near Mount Vernon and Pelham.
Officials advised drivers to continue to use caution when driving through area, as it is still a construction zone.
