Hundreds of walkers laced up their sneakers in White Plains Sunday to raise autism awareness.
The 15th annual Autism Speaks Walk began at the New York Presbyterian Hospital, where vendors set up to provide important information about autism.
Co-chairman Robin Morris says the event was inspired by her autistic son, Paul, and that she aims to make the walk a place where families can go to find help and support.
Organizers say they hoped to raise close to $1 million.
