The East Ramapo School District is signing up students for its newly expanded after-school program.
The initiative, based at the district's Martin Luther King Center, will serve 700 students.
Dozens of families registered today at the district's annual Back to School fair on South Madison Avenue in Spring Valley.
Students will receive homework help, participate in cultural enrichment activities, and be provided with meals.
District officials say grant funding will support the program for at least the next three years.
At the fair, students received backpacks filled with school supplies, while parents learned about services available at the district's Family Welcome Center.
Classes begin tomorrow.
