Changes are coming to several schools under the Archdiocese of New York as part of a new renewal plan in the Hudson Valley.
Officials say Sacred Heart School in Hartsdale and Most Precious Blood School in Walden will close at the end of the school year. The school’s superintendent says the plan is aimed at sustaining and strengthening Catholic education across the archdiocese.
Leaders hope students will continue their Catholic school education at nearby schools. Principals and enrollment teams will work with families over the next few months to help with the transition.
In addition, St. Anthony–St. Paul School in Nanuet/Valley Cottage will consolidate into one campus at St. Anthony Parish in Nanuet.
The superintendent’s office says more updates and resources will be shared with families as the renewal plan moves forward.-
