Concerns over a state road on the New Castle/Ossining border are growing. Neighbors say an accident that happened there last week highlights the need for action.
The accident happened last Monday on Route 133 near the corner of Barnes Road. Police said a car crashed into a pole.
People who live along Route 133, also known as Somerstown Road, have been telling News 12 for months about their concerns.
Some of those concerns include potholes and speeding, according to residents.
Police tell News 12, unsafe speed was a contributing factor in last Monday's crash.
No one was seriously hurt, according to police.
At last check with the New York State Department of Transportation, they said safety is always top priority. Adding, engineers are in the process of developing a long term solution for pavement restoration along the road.
