A push was made by officials Wednesday to reopen bowling alleys across the Hudson Valley.
In the state's plan, recreation facilities like bowling alleys were slated to open under phase four.
At the end of June and prior to the Mid-Hudson Valley region entering phase four, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that these industries would no longer be permitted to open.
Local officials joined the owner of New City Bowl and Batting Cages and others for a press conference.
Small business owners say they feel left in the dark, with no timeline of what's to come.
"Maybe if the governor hears enough of us and realized that we can be New York smart.  We wanna be New York smart. Just give us a chance," says Alice Lenna, of New City Bowl and Batting Cages.
Bowling alleys are open in New Jersey and Connecticut.
