A Hudson Valley bank manager has pleaded guilty, admitting to paying a hitman to kill her brother-in-law while he was on vacation.
A federal court website reports Reshma Massarone pleaded guilty earlier this month in federal court in White Plains.
The 39-year-old, who worked at the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in Woodstock, was arrested last August, one month after she was caught on surveillance video sending $2,500 to a security guard.
A copy of the federal complaint showed screenshots of the receipt, messages with the hitman, and transcriptions of recorded phone calls. The hitman alerted her brother-in-law of the plot, who then notified police.
She will be sentenced in June.
