Dozens of athletes braved the cold and wet weather Sunday morning to compete in the annual Heels and Wheels race.
Runners and walkers, along with wheelchair and hand-cycle participants, all took part in the 5K course, hosted by Burke Rehabilitation and Research Hospital.
Organizers say the race is different because all kinds of athletes are included.
"There are events that are specifically for those in wheelchairs and hand cycles, but this one brings everyone together," says Richard Sgaglio. "So, it's really about the spirit of inclusion and that really goes with Burke's mission."
Around 150 people participated in the race, which also helped raise money for the hospital.
