The heavy rain caused a mess for commuters on the Saw Mill River Parkway in Pleasantville Wednesday night.
While the speed limit is 50 mph, News 12 saw a lot of cars going above the speed limit.
Drivers were advised to stick to the speed limit and stay in their lanes because the area is prone to flooding.
Temperatures were expected to rise, so black ice was not a concern on the roads. Some residents said they didn't mind the heavy rainfall because of the higher temperatures.
