Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
The woman killed when a car left the road in a Yonkers neighborhood and crashed into a home has been identified. Christine Kenney-O'Rourke was hit by the car moments before it went into the North Broadway home. Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano says she was an active member of the community serving as a trustee for the Historical Society and a greeter at Untermeyer Gardens. She was also the daughter-in-law of former Yonkers Mayor Dr. James O'Rourke.
A Sullivan County man is facing charges in connection with a burglary in the Village of Liberty. Police say they received a call from a woman about a man on her back porch. She says the man was pointing a gun at her. Police say Isaiah Blanch, of Livingston Manor, took off from the scene. They eventually caught up to him and found him with a handgun and cocaine.
And a Monroe man is facing sex abuse charges. State police say 40-year-old Sergio Lucero committed sexual conduct with a child under 15 years old. Lucero is charged with felony sex abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
