Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Two women are facing charges for allegedly leading police from several Westchester departments on a chase. Westchester County police say the two women were wanted for allegedly stealing from an Ulta store in Yorktown. They say the pair was pursued by Yorktown, state and county police before being taken into custody on the southern end of the Saw Mill River Parkway. The two women are charged with criminal possession of stolen property, reckless driving and unlawful fleeing a police officer.
A Long Island man is facing charges for allegedly robbing a hotel in Rye. Police say Jose Nieves walked into the Courtyard Marriott last month demanding money from the register. An employee believed Nieves had a gun and handed over $250. He's currently being held at Putnam County Correctional Facility on separate charges.
Clarkstown police are investigating a burglary at the Optimum Store in West Nyack. Police say they saw a smashed door and shattered glass along the sidewalk when they arrived Tuesday morning. They say they did not get an alarm notification about the break-in and a customer called in the report before 8 a.m. Several display models and cellphones were taken.
