A wake is being held today for the 12-year-old
Kingston girl who was fatally shot inside her home back on Dec. 17. Visitation for D'Janeira Mason
will take place today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Joseph Leahy Funeral Home
on Smith Avenue in Kingston. Her 9-year-old brother was also shot but survived. Police
say two men, Gilbert Thomas and Robert
James, have been charged in her murder.
Ramapo police say a car flipped over on its side and almost crashed into a building on Route 17 on Sunday. There is no word yet on what caused the accident, but police say no one was injured.
The new
Moynihan Train Hall in Penn Station is set to open to passengers on Jan. 1. Gov.
Andrew Cuomo's office says the new facility will offer access to 17 of the 21
tracks in Penn Station. The project allows LIRR and Amtrak passengers to avoid
the underground passageways when buying tickets and waiting for trains.
