Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
Police have identified the two young men who died in a wrong-way crash on the Palisades Parkway in Clarkstown. Officials say Aristan Garandeau, of Croton, was traveling in the wrong direction Sunday night. The 22-year-old then struck a car driven by Brendan Seabrook, 27, of Pennsylvania. Garandeau was pronounced dead at the scene. Seabrook was transported to Montefiore Nyack Hospital where he later died. There was a third person in one of the vehicles who was injured but is expected to survive. Garandeau was an EMT with the Peekskill and Ossining Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
A suspect who kicked an 89-year-old woman into the street in Brooklyn is still on the run, according to the NYPD. Police say it happened near the intersection of Avenue P and East 17th Street. The woman was rushed to the hospital where she's recovering from bruising on her head and body. Anyone with information is asked to contact NYPD at 1-800-577-TIPS.
