Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Dutchess County man has been arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the town of Saugerties. Police say 34-year-old Taylor Lane was pulled over by police for driving without the headlights on. They say Lane was under the influence of alcohol and was processed at Saugerties police headquarters where his blood alcohol content was established at .15%. He now faces multiple charges and has been released on appearance tickets. He is set to return to court this month.
A woman was injured when a tree came down at Saxon Woods golf course in Westchester this weekend. A man and woman were sitting in their cart on the 15th hole, when a good portion of the tree fell. Luckily, just branches hit the golf cart, while the bulk of the tree just missed them. The man was able to get out, but the woman needed help to escape the branches. She was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Clarkstown Police Department are asking if anyone recognizes a lost dog. The animal was found in the area of Victoria Lane in Nanuet. It has been taken to Hi Tor Animal Shelter. Police are reminding people to keep pets away from fireworks this holiday weekend. Officials say fireworks are a common reason for a pet's disappearance.
